Judy and The Dream Of Horses

Judy wrote the saddest song
She showed it to a boy in school today
Judy, where did you go wrong?
You used to make me smile when I was down
Judy was a teenage rebel
She did it with a boy when she was young
She gave herself to books and learning
She gave herself to being number one
Judy, I don't know you if you're gonna show me everything
Judy, I don't know you if you're gonna show me everything

Judy got a book at school
She went under the cover with her torch
She fell asleep till it was morning
She dreamt about the girl who stole a horse
Judy never felt so good except when she was sleeping
Judy never felt so good except when she was sleeping

Judy, let's go for a walk
We can kiss and whatever you want
But you will be disappointed
You will asleep with ants in your pants
Judy, you're just trying to find and keep the dream of horses
And the song she wrote was judy and the dream of horses
Dream of horses
You dream of horses

The best looking boys are taken
The best looking girls are staying inside
So judy, where does that leave you?
Walking the street from morning to night
With a star upon your shoulder lighting up the path that you walk
With a parrot on your shoulder, saying everything when you talk
If you're ever feeling blue
Then write another song about your dream of horses
Write a song about your dream of horses
Call it judy and the dream of horses
Call it judy and the dream of horses
You dream of horses

Belle & Sebastian

Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying

Ooh! Get me away from here I'm dying
Play me a song to set me free
Nobody writes them like they used to
So it may as well be me
Here on my own now after hours
Here on my own now on a bus
Think of it this way
You could either be successful or be us
With our winning smiles, and us
With our catchy tunes, and us
Now we're photogenic
You know, we don't stand a chance

Oh, I'll settle down with some old story
About a boy who's just like me
Thought there was love in everything and everyone
You're so naive!
They always reach a sorry ending
They always get it in the end.
Still it was worth it as I turned the pages solemnly, and then
With a winning smile, the boy
With naivety succeeds
At the final moment, I cried
I always cry at endings

Oh, that wasn't what I meant to say at all
From where I'm sitting, rain
Washing against the lonely tenement
Has set my mind to wander
Into the windows of my lovers
They never know unless I write
"This is no declaration, I just thought I'd let you knowgoodbye"
Said the hero in the story
"It is mightier than swords
I could kill you sure
But I could only make you cry with these words"

Belle And Sebastian

Seres interiores

SHE'S A SENSATION - Ramones

She's a sensation
She's a sensation
She looks a so sweet

She's a sensation
She's a sensation
Good enough a to eat

She's a sensation oh-oh-oh
She looks a so fine
She's a sensation
She's a sensation
I'm gonna make a her mine

No matter what you do
I give my heart to you
And oh-oh-baby I will give to you
No matter what they say
Yeah, we can find a way
And oh-oh-baby we can find a way

I didn't know it till I walked you home
That, I feel the way I do
And I don't care what the neighbors say
I always will be true
I always will love you
Love you a-wo-wo-wo-wo

Tiny Dancer - Elton John

Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad

Piano man he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows, the tune she hums

But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you, and you can hear me
When I say softly, slowly

Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
you had a busy day today

Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you, and you can hear me
When I say softly, slowly

O homem; as viagens

O homem, bicho da Terra tão pequeno
chateia-se na Terra
lugar de muita miséria e pouca diversão,
faz um foguete, uma cápsula, um módulo
toca para a Lua
desce cauteloso na Lua
pisa na Lua
planta bandeirola na Lua
experimenta a Lua
coloniza a Lua
civiliza a Lua
humaniza a Lua.

Lua humanizada: tão igual à Terra.
O homem chateia-se na Lua.
Vamos para Marte
ordena a suas máquinas.
Elas obedecem, o homem desce em Marte
pisa em Marte
experimenta
coloniza
civiliza
humaniza Marte com engenho e arte.

Marte humanizado, que lugar quadrado.
Vamos a outra parte?
Claro
diz o engenho
sofisticado e dócil.
Vamos a Vênus.
O homem põe o pé em Vênus,
vê o visto
é isto?
idem
idem
idem.

O homem funde a cuca se não for a Júpiter
proclamar justiça junto com injustiça
repetir a fossa
repetir o inquieto

espanhol domado.

Restam outros sistemas fora
do solar a col-
onizar.
Ao acabarem todos
só resta ao homem
(estará equipado?)
a dificílima dangerosíssima viagem
de si a si mesmo:
pôr o pé no chão
do seu coração
experimentar
colonizar
civilizar
humanizar
o homem
descobrindo em suas próprias inexploradas entranhas
a perene, insuspeitada alegria
de con-viver.
